Design Notes

Spark-focused leader who turns Troops into divine fuel and ramps Aztec squads through sacrifice, assist chains, and global Turn Meter spikes.

Abilities

Obsidian Macuahuitl

Basic

Deal damage to target enemy and inflict 5% Bleed for 2 turns. If the target is already inflicted with Bleed, this attack deals 10% more damage for each stack of Bleed. Bleed: Take 5% of this character’s Max Health as damage at the end of their turn. Can stack.

Blood Sacrifice

SpecialCD: 4T

Can only be used if Montezuma has a living allied Troop unit. Sacrifice a target allied Troop. Montezuma gains 30% Spark and dedicates the sacrifice to one of three gods, gaining a Blessing buff for 3 turns: • Blessing of Huitzilopochtli – Montezuma’s weapon bursts into flame. He gains +50% ATK and his basic attacks inflict Burning in addition to Bleed. • Blessing of Quetzalcoatl – Montezuma gains 15% Turn Meter whenever an ally takes a turn. When he uses a Special ability, reduce the cooldowns of all Aztec allies by 1. • Blessing of Tezcatlipoca – Montezuma gains Stealth and his attacks are guaranteed critical hits. Burning: Take 5% of this character’s Max Health as damage at the end of their turn. Does not stack.

The Eagle and the Serpent

All Aztec allies gain Speed Up and Attack Up for 1 turn (25% each). Dispel all debuffs from all Aztec allies, then Montezuma calls one random Aztec ally and himself to assist. At 100% Spark: Also summon a Jaguar Warrior with 75% Health and Protection to the battlefield.

Blessings of the Gods

Passive

At the start of battle, Montezuma gains 10% Spark for each Aztec unit on the team. Whenever an enemy is defeated, all allies gain 25% Turn Meter.

Montezuma II gains 10% Spark at the beginning of each of his turns, 10% whenever any unit dies, and 5% whenever any unit takes damage from Bleed.
